Explore the Selby & Friends 2027 season

Beethoven will figure prominently in 2027 as we honour 200 years since his death and with this opening program dedicated entirely to Beethoven’s piano trios composed within the space of just three years, we see the extraordinary trajectory of a true master of his craft.

Two string masters, Andrew Haveron and Timo-Veikko Valve, return together in 2027 to join Kathryn Selby in a program dedicated to piano trios composed by Beethoven within the space of just three years in the master’s life. Already completely deaf and suffering enormous difficulties, the master’s vast range of gifts on display in these seminal works, both large and small, is an apt way to demonstrate Beethoven at his finest in this year of remembrance 200 years after his death.
