There are masterpieces. And then there is Mozart's Requiem. 

Few works have inspired more fascination, scholarship and devotion. Unfinished at the composer's death, it has become one of humanity's greatest artistic achievements, not because of the mystery surrounding it, but because every movement reveals something profoundly true about the human experience. 

Often imagined as music consumed by death, this Requiem is, in fact, astonishingly full of life. Its moments of grief, hope, fear, tenderness and triumph each possess their own voice, their own character, their own soul. 

Alongside the Requiem, Mozart's exquisite Concerto for flute and harp brings another side of his genius into focus. Brandenburg favourites Melissa Farrow and Hannah Lane step forward as soloists in a work of elegance, intimacy and luminous beauty.

Only the third Brandenburg performance of the Requiem in the Orchestra's history, this landmark presentation brings together the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Brandenburg Choir and four outstanding Australian vocal soloists. Informed by decades of historical scholarship and performed on period instruments, it reveals Mozart's final masterpiece in all its breathtaking scale, emotional depth and intellectual brilliance.
