UK's 2026 Best Contemporary Song winner

One of the most vital voices in contemporary music and literature, Kae Tempest will return to Sydney this June for one night only.

The return follows the release of Kae’s extraordinary new album Self Titled — a bold, intimate and expansive body of work that stands as both a love letter to a younger self and a dialogue between past, present and future. Interwoven with the people, places and experiences that have shaped him, Self Titled navigates resistance, doubt and hope, tracing the liberation that comes with radical self-acceptance. In May 2026, the title track I Stand On The Line was named Best Contemporary Song at the UK's prestigous Ivor Novello Awards.

The music presents nods to rave culture, hip hop’s golden eras and alternative soul, yet the pulse is unmistakably Kae — urgent, poetic and fearless.

Expect a performance that is immersive, electrifying and profoundly human — an artist at the height of their powers, meeting each crowd in the shared space between vulnerability and defiance.

This event is presented in partnership with Vivid Sydney and Handsome Tours.

Joining Kae Tempest is special guest leecerti.

At 16 years old, Sydney hip-hop artist leecerti. isn't waiting for a passing of the torch - he's snatching it with both hands. Before the release of any official music, his superstar potential was realised by many, with leecerti. receiving co-signs from trailblazers like DDG, Arrdee and Chunkz. With plenty of grassroots buzz in the scene, leecerti. dropped his anthemic debut single 'Up' which won him the national triple j Unearthed High competition in 2023, with the track also added to premier hip-hop Spotify playlists including The Drip and Local Hype.

leecerti. has already performed in front of festival-sized crowds and worked with brands like JD Sports and Land Rover, showing a natural charisma that cannot be replicated or ignored. leecerti. will continue releasing singles in 2024, proving that his penchant for hip-hop earworms can surpass the hype.

The Kae Tempest performance on 10 June has been cancelled. Ticketholders should refer to the email sent on 30 April for refund and exchange options. For further queries, please contact Box Office.
