Multi-faceted English producer and composer, Daniel Avery, pulls at the boundaries of live techno music, merging the mechanical with the emotional, but both finding beauty in the noise.

Bridging the dancefloor with introspective listening, Avery made a name for himself almost overnight with the left-of-centre techno on his debut album Drone Logic.

In his most ambitious album to date, Tremor (2025), Avery went back to his roots, inspired by the likes of Deftones and My Bloody Valentine, sending his distinctive production style through wraithlike guest vocals (Alison Mosshart [The Kills], Ellie Rowsell [Wolf Alice], Yunè Pinku + more), textured distortion, and fuzz-buried melody.

Dubbed as "the prince of techno" by DIY Mag, his dynamic live show features both a four-piece band and solo club set.

★★★★ "Daniel Avery provides multi-genre joy" - The Fix Magazine (UK)
★★★★ "While his presence on stage remains understated, the sound itself is colossal, drawing the crowd into an experience as physical as it is emotional." - Live4Ever (UK)

City Recital Hall is set to encapsulate the bold, transportive sonic world he's created of euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambience and industrial bliss into the ultimate rave masterpiece!

This event is presented in partnership with Vivid Sydney.

Please note all tickets are general admission standing. City Recital Hall is a three-level venue. Once Level 1 fills up, guests will be directed to higher levels subject to capacity limits.

Joining Daniel Avery is special guest Sina

Sina’s haunting vocals and hazy guitar textures weave ethereal, dreamlike soundscapes suspended between ambient and shoegaze. While primarily known for her work with Dregs and the project’s well-received 2023 self-titled release, her new material marks a quieter and more personal turn in her practice. With a forthcoming solo LP on Glasgow label Somewhere Press, she moves toward a more intimate and vulnerable sonic world.
