Daniel Avery has spent more than a decade reshaping what techno can be. His music sits between the club and the mind, a space where hypnotic rhythms meet textural, cinematic soundscapes. He treats electronic music as a language of emotion, bridging the dancefloor with introspective listening. Psychedelia without nostalgia, darkness explored rather than feared, movement between club culture and fine art sensibilities.

Avery first made his mark with Drone Logic on Phantasy Sound, an album now regarded as a modern techno classic. Since then, he has built a body of work that balances hypnotic dancefloor energy with album-level depth. His singles, remixes, and full-length releases have earned acclaim from peers, critics and tastemakers worldwide.

With his new album Tremor, Avery expands on these ideas. The record moves through euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambient soundscapes, and industrial bliss. Collaborators including Alison Mosshart, Walter Schreifels, bdrmm, Julie Dawson, yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe each leave their mark, yet the heart of the album is the collective spirit.

The live show brings the album to life as an immersive experience with a four-piece band. Avery balances hypnotic, driving techno with cinematic textures, creating a set that is felt as much as it is heard. It is music designed as a journey, moving from the floor to the mind’s eye. Avery’s music reminds us that techno is not just something to dance to. It is something to feel, to inhabit, and to carry with you.
