New Zealand music icon Bic Runga returns to Sydney, celebrating her highly anticipated new album Red Sunset.

Beloved for her crystalline vocals and timeless songwriting, Bic has long been one of Aotearoa’s most influential artists. Her debut album Drive became a landmark release, going multi-platinum at home, and 'Sway' found its way onto Hollywood film soundtracks, carrying her music far beyond New Zealand.

Born in Christchurch to a Chinese-Malaysian mother and Māori father, Bic grew up teaching herself drums, guitar, and piano, a self-made musician whose creative independence continues to shape her sound. Across acclaimed albums such as Birds, Belle, and Close Your Eyes, she’s explored new sonic territory while staying true to the emotional clarity that first captivated listeners.

A multi-Tūī and Silver Scroll winner — and the youngest inductee into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame — Bic’s influence echoes through a new generation of Kiwi artists.

Now, with Red Sunset, recorded in Paris over the winter of 2025, she enters a new chapter. Experience Bic’s unmistakable voice and beautifully intimate songwriting live on stage, as she shares new material alongside favourites from across her celebrated career.
