Across five sublime programs, audiences will experience a festival-style season brimming with thrilling performances and the joyful camaraderie that has become the ensemble’s hallmark. Artistic Director and pianist Kathryn Selby AM is joined by an enviable line-up of Australia’s finest musicians, many returning year after year to this beloved series.

The 20th Season opens with a return of two special guests who wowed audiences two years ago – Alexandra Osborne and Clancy Newman. This dynamic duo joins Kathy for a concert comprising two works that pay tribute to long ago popular tunes and two works that stand on their own as sublime examples of the early Romantic period.

An exploration of Australia's famously ferocious bush fires by 8 Australian composers, two gorgeous works by Robert Schumann and Mendelssohn's last tumultuous and passionate piano trio. We welcome the return of Natalie Chee and Richard Narroway.

Australian Ross Edwards' gem opens this program followed by the storm and passion of Arensky's second piano trio. To cap off a terrific concert, we present Beethoven's own arrangement for piano trio of his stunning Septet.

Three blockbuster favourites by Johannes Brahms performed by three of Australia's finest chamber musicians. This concert was especially requested by guest artists, Timo-Veikko Valve and Andrew Haveron – both principal leaders in two of Australia’s finest large ensembles.

Our Season ends with three gorgeous piano quintets - a famous arrangement of Mozart's 14th Piano Concerto, Milhaud's chamber music masterpiece and Dvořák's iconic and masterful work for the five instruments. Featuring 4 stunning young Australians, they join Kathy for a rousing program to finish the season.
