In the world of Baroque, the extremely rare male soprano shares the same high range as the female voice but produces an intriguingly different sound. Brilliant, agile and assured, Paris-based Venezuelan soprano Samuel Mariño has dazzled audiences across the globe with his distinctive performance style and sparkling interpretations of Baroque and Classical opera and oratorio.

An intrepid innovator, this rising star has been blazing a bright trail reviving operatic roles originally written for high-male voice on mainstream opera and concert stages in Europe. The Soprano is a passionate tour through the most stirring arias from the 17th and 18th centuries. Shimmering arias by Handel and Vivaldi will be paired with lesser-known music by Hasse and Monteverdi.
