Four brilliant and storied Australian artists come together from around the world for the first time to explore the luscious genre of the piano quartet in this special concert exclusively for A Little Lunch Music.

Kathryn Selby, AM is the Artistic Director of the popular nationally touring Selby & Friends concert series and co-founder/Artistic Director of A Little Lunch Music.  A former student of the Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Kathy Selby has won countless awards, accolades and competition prizes from around the world. She has performed with several of Australia’s top orchestras and appeared in many internationally renowned festivals. 

Violinist Daniel Dodds was born to Australian-Chinese parents and moved to study in Lucerne at the age of seventeen. In 2000, he became the Principal Concertmaster at the Festival Strings Lucerne and since 2012 has served as the artistic director of the ensemble. As a freelance artist, he has performed with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Australian World Orchestra and more, and has collaborated as a guest concertmaster with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Camerata Salzburg.

Andra Darzins is currently the Professor of Viola at the University in Stuttgart, Germany and the former Principal Viola of the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She also plays as Guest Principal Viola in major German orchestras, including Staatskapelle Berlin, Bamberger Symphoniker, Radio Symphony Orchestra Frankfurt, Munich Philharmonic, and more.

Jonathan Békés has quickly established himself as one of Australia's leading cellists. Békés is in great demand as a solo artist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and educator: nationally and internationally. He is the principal cellist in the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, he frequently performs with the Australian World Orchestra, he is a founding member of the acclaimed Tasmanian String Quartet and regularly presents recitals across the world having performed in 5 different continents.
