Nia Karteris

Since 2015, the Greek Festival of Sydney have presented an annual concert at City Recital Hall. We catch up with Nia Karteris, Chair of the Greek Festival of Sydney, about her favourite memories at the venue.

What was your first experience at City Recital Hall?

As chair of the Greek Festival of Sydney my first experience was International Acclaimed artist Farandouri (2013) we assisted the City Recital with promoting this event for them through the Greek Community and Festival. This was the start of a wonderful partnership between both parties.

Do you have a favourite moment at City Recital Hall?

Our first partnership event Axion Esti (which sold out!). A huge achievement for the Greek Festival and Greek Orthodox Community of NSW.

What do you hope to see the City Recital Hall become over the next 20 years?

Continuing our partnership and embracing International Cultural Events.
