City Recital Hall Launches Its Jan-Mar 2019 Season
We are delighted to welcome you to our 2019 artistic program of City Recital Hall Presents events for January to March.
2019 will see the return of our popular free community programs including The Exhibition Project, in which our foyers are enlivened with contemporary visual art, and the now legendary Sydney Flash Mob Choir. Both of our popular lunchtime series, A Little Lunch Music and This Sounds Like Science, will also continue next year with new faces and returning favourites.
On our mainstage we bring one of the world's most renowned choirs, The Sixteen, to Sydney and are excited to this year be presenting two events as part of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
2019 marks the 20th year of the venue and to begin the celebration we are running a special City Recital Hall Membership offer from now until the end of this year. Read on and explore our City Recital Hall 2019 summer program.
Grigoryan Brothers and Wolfgang Muthspiel (previously MGT)

Three icons of the guitar world across jazz, classical and world music, Wolfgang Muthspiel (Austria) and Slava and Leonard Grigoryan (Australia) are highly respected worldwide for their contributions to the guitar oeuvre, be it jazz, classical or world music.

Music director Sam Allchurch leads the Sydney Chamber Choir in this original choral work by American singer and composer Holcombe Waller that invokes remembrance and peace for the dead who suffered persecution for their sexual orientation or gender expression.
Boys Of Sondheim

Stephen Sondheim defined an urbane, literate and uniquely New York voice that many would call the most important in musical theatre history. He is also undeniably one of the most significant gay artists of the 20th century. This intimate cabaret concert exposes the soulful, masculine underbelly of his work.
The Sixteen

The voices of The Sixteen are at home in over five centuries of music. At City Recital Hall The Sixteen will perform a distinctly British program spanning over 500 years of choral music including works by 16th-century composers Tallis and Byrd.
