With Selby & Friends recently dubbed “titans of chamber music” and “masters musicians at the top of their game” we are proud to be announcing our 2019 Season.

2019 will mark 30 years of innovative concert creation around Australia by Kathryn Selby, AM. With consistently rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, and continuous national and international broadcasts on ABC & MBS network radio, these joyous, intimate concerts continue to be treasured by audiences everywhere.

Having presented so many stunning and engaging artists over the years, in 2019 Selby & Friends is delighted to welcome back brilliant Australian solo violinists Natalie Chee, Susie Park & Daniel Dodds with SSO Concertmaster Andrew Haveron. Adding to our superb artistic ensemble are favourite charismatic cellists, ACO Principal Timo-Veikko Valve, SSO Principal Umberto Clerici & Julian Smiles of Goldner Quartet fame. New to Selby & Friends in 2019 is the US-based bravura Australian cellist Richard Narroway who, with returning violin star Grace Clifford, joins our program to support outstanding young Australians on their professional journey.

We are delighted to bring back another program of all-Beethoven by popular demand and we continue to investigate why music moves and often defines us as human beings with fascinating works by Ravel, Britten, Clara Schumann, Scriabin, Elena Kats-Chernin, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and more.
