Tormented SOULS

Selby & Friends
Thursday 23 August 7pm, City Recital Hall

Having been declared in the media last week as "Titans of chamber music" and "not just friends, but family", this next program by Selby & Friends is not to be missed! Kathryn Selby welcomes back acclaimed virtuosi, Natalie Chee (violin) and Julian Smiles (cello), & introduces clarinettist Lloyd Van’t Hoff as part of her program to support brilliant young performers. The program features piano trios by Beethoven & Schumann with Messiaen’s colossal Quartet for the End of Time – an exploration of how composers expressed their suffering through their music.
