“A national treasure of pure talent” - Australian Stage
“To say that Ashley is larger than life is an understatement – he takes command of the stage, in fact he takes command of the whole auditorium, as he belts out all the big numbers.” - Stage Whispers
Twenty years can really fly by when you’ve been so many different people. Trevor Ashley has been a fixture of the Sydney entertainment scene for two decades, refusing to be defined by gender, style, or playing by the usual showbiz rules. He has starred in iconic musical theatre roles, cabarets with a twist, and his own outrageous pantos for his whole life.
Whether you’ve seen Trevor perform at the Sydney Opera House, a Spiegeltent or Stonewall, (or never been to one of his shows before) you know it will be a night of epic music, laugh-out-loud comedy, and of course, a sequinned gown or six.
Join “La TrAshley” in a special, intimate show as he recounts some of his favourite moments of his career, and also creates some new ones. Expect songs and stories from Les Mis, Hairspray, and Priscilla, plus special appearances by several well-known divas. Who knows? Maybe Liza Minnelli and Shirley Bassey will appear!
Accompanied by wunderkind James Simpson and an eight piece band, this not-to-be-missed concert celebrates how a boy from Bexley can end up headlining in heels in the West End, and everywhere in between.
