Across the centuries, around the world: Sydney Chamber Choir’s 2018 season offers a dazzling array of choral treasures. We start the year with the classics, joining with the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra in a concert entitled Pastoral Melodies: Mozart’s Spaur Mass and songs by Brahms, along with orchestral favourites by Beethoven and Mendelssohn, all under the baton of the inimitable Richard Gill. In August, we celebrate the music of our own time and place as we join in the 75th birthday celebrations of one of Australia’s best-loved composers, Ross Edwards, in Celebrating Ross Edwards. And in October, with guest conductor Jonathan Grieves-Smith at the helm, we set sail on a musical journey across the ocean with Behold - The Sea!: epic voyages, mystic and majestic seascapes, storms, shipwrecks and songs of new discoveries.
Presented by Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra and Sydney Chamber Choir
