Moving from the depths of despair to light that brings hope and new birth, The Choir of St James’ and Trinity College Choir, Melbourne join together to perform Tallis’ famous 40-part motet Spem in alium, Gabriel Jackson’s 40-part homage to Tallis, Sanctum est verum lumen, and other monumental works from the Renaissance to the present day by Byrd, Tavener and Whitacre.
