The start of winter sees City Recital Hall’s foyer transformed by Sound Bubble, a spectacular installation of light and sound.
This mad-professor style invention of artists Damian Barbeler and John Taylor is part multimedia installation and part experimental performance space. Visitors can “conduct” the Bubble through the touch of an iPad and make it erupt into an ecstatic performance of synchronised movement, light and 3D audio effects. The interior is also filled with white balls and when the Bubble is activated thousands of pixel lights in the ceiling and floor cause the balls to glow in colourful dancing patterns.
Bubble open daily 9am – 11pm (except Friday 9 June, open until 5pm)
Step inside the Bubble daily from 12.30pm –1.30pm and 6pm – 7pm (excludes Friday 2 and 9 June)
