A Brahms Affair

Clara Schumann is evident in all of Robert Schumann’s music. His Fantasiestücke, Op.73 represents the unbridled passion found in the free imagination of the artist, whilst Borodin’s String Quartet No.1 exudes love and passion. Join Omega in this concert that celebrates some of the most exquisite and sublime chamber music written, in a celebration of chemistry, romance and love that will engage your senses and leave you breathless.

Ravel Impressions

Thursday 16 November 7.30pm

Mozart’s ‘Kegelstatt’ Trio, written in 1786 is a landmark work of inspired writing, and was the first to use the combination of piano, viola and clarinet in a chamber setting. Alongside this work is Ravel’s iconic and much adored String Quartet No.1, dedicated to his teacher, Fauré, who’s own trio was composed in the latter years of his life and displays a graceful lyricism alongside his unmistakable personal musical language.
