City Recital Hall Launches Its Apr-Jun Season
We are delighted to welcome you to our 2019 autumn artistic program of City Recital Hall Presents events for April - June.
This season will see the continuation of our popular free community programs including The Exhibition Project, in which our foyers are enlivened with contemporary visual art, and the our ever-expanding Sydney Flash Mob Choir. Our lunchtime offerings this season include
Our mainstage offerings this season include pop-sensation Kate Miller-Heidke and Iain Grandage, as well as Australian musical luminaries Paul Kelly, James Ledger, Alice Keath and the Seraphim Trio in Thirteen Ways to Look at Birds. Folk supergroup I'm With Her will have you tapping your feet in mid-April, along with iconic storyteller Arlo Guthrie, and in June things are heating up with the fiery spectacular Concertos on Fire.

Folk supergroup I'm With Her has, since their formation at an impromptu show in 2014, honed a special, family-like chemistry, garnering acclaim for their unique blend of instrumental interplay combined with indelible harmonies.

Pop-icon Kate Miller-Heidke and composer and director Iain Grandage join forces for a re-imagination of Kate’s unique music that effortlessly melds indie, pop and opera. The pair collaborated first on the multiple Helpmann Award winning opera The Rabbits that sold out across the country. Now they will present a unique performance featuring some of Kate’s chart-topping hits such as ‘The Last Day on Earth’ and ‘Caught in the Crowd’ like you’ve never heard it before.

Concertos on Fire explores dynamic new directions in classical concert presentation. This concert features one of Australia’s most well-known violin concertos: Maninyas by Ross Edwards alongside the premiere of a brand new concerto Tale of The Firebird composed by Chloé Charodyfor fire-taming violinist Sonja Schebeck and interdisciplinary acrobatic ensemble The Freestyle Orchestra.
