BOX OFFICE MANAGER

We are currently seeking a Box Office Manager to join the team at City Recital Hall.

The Box Office Manager will manage the day to day running of the City Recital Hall box office and provide ticketing services under the supervision of the Ticketing Services Manager.

This is a critical front-line position delivering a high level of service for venue clients and patrons. We are looking for a person with initiative, exceptional customer service and communication skills, excellent presentation, a strong sales focus and the ability to multi task across several projects at any given time with a calm and co-operative manner. Previous managing or supervising experience and at least two years experience in ticketing systems is essential. Experience in Tessitura will be highly regarded.

This is a full time position, for a 3 year fixed term contract.

concert and event manager

We are currently seeking a Concert and Event Manager to join the team at City Recital Hall.

The Concert and Event Manager is an integral position in the Concert and Event team, which manages all concerts and events held at City Recital Hall, maximising the artistic and financial returns for City Recital Hall and its clients.

The role communicates directly with presenters, artists, hirers and corporate clients to provide a high level of concert and event management for events held at City Recital Hall.

Working individually and collaboratively within the Concert and Events team, and in partnership with the broader City Recital Hall department managers, the Concert and Event Manager harnesses their event management skills to ensure comprehensive planning, coordination and smooth delivery of events.

The role requires a proactive hands-on approach, strong customer service ethic, flexibility, and high level communication skills. Some evening and weekend work is required.

This is a full time position, for a 3 year fixed term contract.

Experience

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in arts management, event management and/or hospitality, and excellent customer service, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Tertiary qualifications in event management, communication or other relevant discipline, as well as experience in and/or knowledge of the performing arts/entertainment industry is highly desirable.

Salary

A salary commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
