Unique in design and location, City Recital Hall has earned a place in Sydney's history. This world class performance space is the first specially designed concert venue to be built in Sydney since the Opera House in 1973 and its opening had musicians and audiences throughout Sydney applauding.

This finely tuned recital hall with a capacity of 1,238 seats has been designed for quality of sound, to enhance enjoyment of audiences, soloists, chamber ensembles, chamber orchestras, contemporary bands, popular musicians and the spoken word.
If you are entertaining guests or arranging a group booking, let us know. We can arrange program vouchers, drink vouchers or bar tabs and small functions with catering.
Easily reached by public transport, the venue is situated in the heart of Sydney's CBD, at 2 Angel Place Sydney. A map is provided here for your convenience. Hours of Operation
Our Box Office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (with extended hours for performances). On Saturday and Sunday the Box Office is open 3.5 hours prior to performance time.
The venue opens one hour prior to the performance. The doors to the auditorium generally open 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the performance.
In consideration of the artists and audience, once a performance has commenced latecomers may only be admitted during suitable breaks, as determined by the venue and presenter. In some cases this may be interval, or not at all.
On admittance, latecomers may be provided an alternate seat or requested to remain in standing room if late access to their allocated seats could cause disruption to other audience members.
Wilson Parking operates a 180-space car park next door to City Recital Hall Angel Place at 123 Pitt St, Sydney. Patrons may access the Hall using the car park lift which takes patrons directly to the level where their seats are located. Patrons can access City Recital Hall Angel Place foyers via the car park lift one hour prior and 30 minutes after the performance.
Secure Parking operates No.1 Martin Place car park (The Westin) a short walking distance from the venue.

Transaction Fees: Bookings made in person at the City Recital Hall Box Office do not attract a transaction fee.
Ticket purchases via phone / mail / email / fax and online for events at City Recital Hall incur a fee of $8.00 per transaction.

Collection of Tickets
Tickets booked online or by telephone at least one week prior to the performance can be mailed. Alternatively, tickets can be held by the Box Office until collection two hours prior to the performance.
Smart casual is recommended unless otherwise advised.
A cloaking service is provided in the entry foyer one hour prior to the performance time. Items larger than a standard handbag must be cloaked.
Smoking is prohibited in City Recital Hall.Back to top
