Entrance to the City Recital Hall Angle Place

Unique in design and location, City Recital Hall Angel Place has earned a place in Sydney's history. This world class performance space is the first specially designed concert venue to be built in Sydney since the Opera House in 1973 and its opening had musicians and audiences throughout Sydney applauding.

This finely tuned recital hall with a capacity of 1238 seats has been designed for quality of sound, to enhance enjoyment of audiences, soloists, chamber ensembles, chamber orchestras, contemporary bands, popular musicians and the spoken word.

If you are entertaining guests or arranging a group booking, let us know. We can arrange program vouchers, drink vouchers or bar tabs and small functions with catering.

Location

Easily reached by public transport, the venue is situated in the heart of Sydney's CBD, at 2 Angel Place Sydney. A map is provided here for your convenience. Hours of Operation

Our Box Office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (with extended hours for performances). On Saturday and Sunday the Box Office is open 3 hours prior to performance time.

Admission

The venue opens I hour prior to the performance. The doors to the auditorium generally open thirty minutes prior to the commencement of the performance.

Parking

Secure Parking operates a 180-space car park next door to City Recital Hall Angel Place at 123 Pitt St, Sydney. Patrons may access the Hall using the car park lift which takes patrons directly to the level where their seats are located. Discounted rates are offered for patrons however to be eligible for the discount you must enter the car park after 5pm. Patrons can access the Recital Hall foyers via the car park lift 1 hour prior and 30min after the performance.

Collection of tickets

Tickets booked online or by telephone at least one week prior to the performance can be mailed. Alternatively, tickets can be held by the Box Office until collection two hours prior to the performance.

Dress Code

Smart casual is recommended unless otherwise advised.

Cloak room

A cloaking service is provided in the entry foyer one hour prior to the performance time. Items larger than a standard handbag must be cloaked.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in City Recital Hall Angel Place.
