Following the success of our hugely popular lunchtime series, A Little Lunch Music 2010 promises to be nothing short of spectacular! Magnificent music and outstanding artists will ensure your lunch time is truly a relaxing experience.

Lunchtime in the city has never been so good (or affordable) and these ideally timed one-hour concerts mean you can relax and go behind the music with some of our country’s finest musicians as they take you on a journey and share with you their love of music.

Wednesday 17 February 2010: Schubert’s "Trout" Quintet. Featuring Kathryn Selby (piano), Niki Vasilakis (violin), Yvette Goodchild (viola), Emma-Jane Murphy (cello) Kees Boersma (double bass).  Get personal with one of the most beloved chamber works of all time – No.1 on the ABC Favourite Chamber Works list, and no wonder. You will be singing the tunes for days!

Thursday 18 March 2010: Sydney Omega Ensemble and Australian composer Matthew Hindson will give you a special insight into Hindson’s Funeral Windows and the Weber Clarinet Quintet.

Wednesday 21 April: TRIOZ meets Schubert – Our ensemble in-residence delves into the mystery of the Piano Trio in B flat, one of the most popular of all piano trios.

Friday 25 June 2010: Introduction to Jazz featuring Dr V’s Swing Thing. Featuring 20 of Sydney’s finest jazz musicians on trumpet, trombone, saxophone and rhythm, the band has music to suit all tastes and occasions.

Monday 27 September 2010: Mozart, and more Mozart! Journey into the world of one of the world’s best loved composers. Featuring the Sydney University Symphony Orchestra conducted by George Ellis with Kathryn Selby, piano presenting one of Mozart’s favourite opera overtures and a Piano Concerto.
