Showcasing magnificent music and outstanding artists, A Little Lunch Music 2012 is an opportunity to relax and go behind the music with some of Australia's finest musicians and with the addition of a December concert to the series, lunchtime in the city has never sounded so good!

Tuesday 20 March: Gerard Willems & Beethoven. Did Beethoven’s awareness of the loss of his hearing affect his creativity? Beethoven specialist Gerard Willems explores the mysteries of the “Appassionata”.

Thursday 26 April: James Crabb. The classical accordion – an introduction to the instrument and its amazing sound by an international virtuoso, demonstrated with a diverse repertoire from the Baroque period to the 21st Century.

Monday 28 May: Brahms Piano Quartet in G Minor. Elizabeth Layton (violin), Tobias Breider (viola), Timo-Veikko Valve (cello) & Kathryn Selby (piano). An exploration of this masterwork by four of our most impressive musicians: Elizabeth Layton (former BBC Scottish Concertmaster), Tobias Breider (Principal Viola, Sydney Symphony), Timo-Veikko Valve (Principal Cello, Australian Chamber Orchestra) and Kathryn Selby.

Tuesday 12 June: New Sydney Wind Quintet & Kathryn Selby. Leading members of the Sydney Symphony form Australia's premiere wind quintet and present a gorgeous program of favourites with Kathryn Selby.

Friday 31 August: Matt Keegan Trio. The Matt Keegan Trio combines three of Sydney's most popular and talented jazz musicians who will perform a stunning program of engaging original music from a diverse range of musical influences.

Thursday 4 October: Flinders Quartet. Schubert's glorious string quartet "Death and the Maiden" is highlighted by this dynamic ensemble from Melbourne.

Wednesday 14 November: Ensemble Offspring. Fusing clarinet, bass clarinet, marimba, claves and voice this eclectic and appealing program features works by much loved Australian composers Ross Edwards, Elena Kats-Chernin and Andrew Ford. Your lunchtime will be transformed by beguiling beats, blues, tangos, rags and bedtime stories – a musical adventure for the young at heart!
